I just read an online source (tradewindsfruit.com) that quoted this, “Tepin and Pequin peppers are the trickiest, generally taking 3-6 months to germinate in warm soil. Do not use acidic soil.”
So based on that statement and if it is indeed fact, then perhaps this is why many folks fail to successfully grow these Wild Pepper Seeds. They probably give up before the seeds germinate due to the unusual long period of germination.
So perhaps a little more patience may be required before totally giving up. That does sound unusually long though.
As always, your ideas and suggestions are always welcomed here at CHILEPEQUIN.COM.

I have a question regarding the picking of the pepper from the plant. Should they be picked with the stem just pulled from the stem, cut from the stem or just pulled from the socket at where the pepper attaches?
